ESSENTIAL
Emanuele Giuffrida (Gela, 1982) vive e lavora a Palermo. Studia Arti Visive all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo conseguendo la laurea specialistica in pittura nel 2007. La sua arte si sviluppa attraverso la pittura che, al servizio dell’immagine e del suo impatto estetico e comunicativo, riesce ad abbracciare sia i valori della figurazione tradizionale che i linguaggi di oggi, ottenendo così un proprio codice espressivo. La sua ricerca fiorisce con cicli di lavori riconducibili a un presente carico di memorie proprie e di esperienze intime, un racconto di sé, della propria visione dei luoghi e delle cose. Sviluppo della sua pratica pittorica è l’insistente indagine del proprio background che si traduce in costante sperimentazione. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in diverse mostre collettive in Italia e all’estero. Nel 2019 è stato tra i finalisti dell’ottava edizione della Fondazione VAF premio, ottenendo la menzione speciale dai membri della giuria. Ha partecipato a numerose mostre e fiere d’arte in Italia e all’estero. Emanuele Giuffrida (Gela, 1982) lives and works in Palermo. He studied Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, obtaining a specialist degree in painting section in 2007. His art develops through painting which, at the service of the image and its aesthetic and communicative impact, embraces the values of traditional figuration up to nowtoday’s languages, thus getting its own expressive code. His research surfacing in a series of works that can be traced back to a present filled of memories of own experience, as a story of oneself, of one’s vision of places and things. An investigation of his own background thanks to which he develops his research and pictorial experimentation. His work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2019 he was among the finalists of the eighth edition of the VAF Foundation award, obtaining the -special mention award- by jury members.
